InvoiceBro exists to prove a simple point: you shouldn't have to hand your client list and revenue to a cloud service just to send a professional invoice.
Most invoice tools ask you to create an account, then quietly store everything you type on their servers — your clients, your rates, what you earn. For a lot of people that's a privacy trade they never agreed to and don't need to make.
Our mission is to make professional billing documents without that trade. Everything in InvoiceBro happens locally. When you build an invoice, the data sits in your browser's memory and, if you save it, in an on-device database called IndexedDB. When you export a PDF, your browser renders it directly. At no point is a copy sent anywhere.
Because there's no backend, there are some things InvoiceBro deliberately does not do: it won't email invoices for you, process payments, or fetch live tax rates. We think that's a fair exchange for knowing exactly where your data is — and for never having to manage a password.
